From a very early age, I knew what I was created to be, so I wasted no time navigating my way through the entertainment industry. It started with acting and modeling when I was a child, and since the early 2000’s I have lived and breathed fashion every single day of my life. Hailing from New Orleans with roots in both Los Angeles and New York, along with my monthly international travel, I have been able to connect and explore with the ‘creme de la creme’ of the fashion and entertainment industries. Still, my heart lies in the one on one connections I make when curing the “fashionably ill”!
My fashion career began while still attending The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. At the age of 19, I was hired by Sacred Blue Denim to manage wholesale accounts, in-house marketing, and provide creative direction to the design team. My visual merchandising acumen and attention to customer service led to opportunities at the highly sought after fashion houses - Prada and Dolce Gabbana. During and following my final year at FIDM, I was able to gain editorial experience at Vogue, Teen Vogue, Men’s Vogue, Vogue Living magazines, GQ, Lucky, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vanity Fair – Italia where I worked my way up from a seasonal intern at VOGUE to a stylist assistant for many Conde Nast publications. With that position, I helped style Hollywood elites including Katy Perry, Patrick Dempsey, Naomi Watts, Christian Bale, Ryan Lochte, Olivia Wilde, and Emma Roberts, just to mention a few, and earned writing credits for both VOGUE.Com and TEENVOGUE.COM.
I enjoyed my behind-the-scenes stint in the editorial world, but in order to continue growing I welcomed a new opportunity. I stepped out from behind the camera and into the spotlight, on BRAVO TV’S hit reality show, “Dukes of Melrose”. At the time I was working as the East Coast Buyer and Global Trunk Show Coordinator for the most worshipped haute couture consignment shop in the world, Decades, Inc. The show chronicled the business’ daily operations, colorful personalities, and some high pressure scenarios that take place only in the fashion industry. I was initially very hesitant to do reality tv, so I was surprised when the producers took unique interest in me and what I had to say. Since TV picked me, I decided to embrace modeling and acting once again and combine it with my fashion career. The synergy of all three is what gives me a distinctive edge as a STYLE EXPERT.
Good thing I was game, because after my time on Dukes of Melrose, I landed a spot as the Lead Wardrobe Stylist & In-House On-Camera Style Expert on the Better Show, where I had free reign to showcase my fashion creativity, perform emergency makeovers and chat about fashion trends and breaking fashion news. It was there that ‘The Fashion Doctor’ was born and earned even more notoriety in the television arena by appearing as a Style Expert on FOX, ABC, CBS & Affiliate stations. I have also been featured in outlets such as Forbes, T Magazine, Fox News Magazine, and RACKED, amongst an assortment of others.
When I’m not working in front of the camera, you can find me in my happy place - traveling and consulting in my image firm, across the world. In my business, as The Fashion Doctor, I examine the lifestyle and wardrobe of everyone from celebrities to housewives to politicians and develop fashion cures for them such as a complementary color scheme and/or a flattering style suitable for his or her shape.
I am so thankful that my business is growing rapidly and I attribute it in part to staying ever-connected to the fashion community. While balancing my image consulting business, I also serve as the Fashion Correspondent for Celebrity Page TV. Still in my 20’s, the best is yet to come!
